Ommitance of children with disabilities in the National Development Plan
An Opinion piece, written by Dr Helene Combrink and Lorenzo Wakefield, focus on the invisibility of children with disabilities in the National Development Plan.
The plan’s goal of eliminating poverty and addressing inequality by 2030 will not be reached for people with disabilities. With the result, it means that it renders between 6% and 15% of the South African population invisible.
