Submission on the working document of the General Comment on Article 14

by Jill last modified 2011-09-21 09:23

Article 5 Initiative responded to the open call by the UN Committee against Torture to comment on the working document of the General Comment on Article 14 of the UN Convention against Torture.

The Article 5 Initiative is a partnership between UCT, UWC, University of Bristol and APCOF for a three year project on the prevention and eradication of torture in six post-conflict African states.

Article 5 Initiative thanks the Committee for regarding the right to redress for victims of torture and ill-treatment as a matter of high importance and for inviting civil society and other stakeholders to give their input before adopting its third General Comment.
