Equalisation case of pensionable age

Christian Roberts and Others v. Minister for Social Development and Others Case No: 32838/05

This case concerns the constitutionality of a number of laws and regulations on social assistance concerning the rights of both women and men between the ages of 60 and 64 who receive, or should be entitled to receive, old age pension grants in terms of these laws. This case is important in determining whether the age differentiation unfairly discriminates against older men on the basis of gender.
