Background to Project research
The Project conducts research on a wide range of topics pertaining to socio-economic rights in South Africa. It strives to ensure that its research can be applied in practical ways to promote access to socio-economic rights.
Current Research
The Project's research staff members are currently working on the following areas:
- Health rights and HIV/AIDS
- Public participation and socio-economic rights
- Evictions and housing rights
- Socio-economic rights obligations of local government
- An optional protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights
