Dr. Lilian Chenwi is a senior
researcher in the Socio-Economic Rights Project. She became the Project
Co-ordinator in March 2008.
She holds an LLB degree from the University of Buea, Cameroon, a Maîtrise in Law from the University of Yaoundé, Cameroon, an LLM in Human Rights and Democratisation and an LLD, both from the University of Pretoria. She served as acting coordinator of the Gender Unit from June 2004 to April 2005, and was an LLM tutor and researcher from February 2003 to June 2005, both at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria.
Dr. Chenwi is a member of the Steering Committee of the NGO Coalition for an Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
