Renchia du Plessis studied  at UWC for the B Juris degree in 1995. She completed a paralegal diploma at the SA Law School. She was a student assistant at the Community Law Centre during 2000. She then worked at Snyman and Partners Law Firm as a debtors consultant from 2003 to April 2007. She worked at the Faculty of Law from May to end July 2007 as an Administration Officer and joined the Community Law Centre  in August as Project Administrator in the Socio-Economic Rights Project.

Ms du Plessis is currently studying towards a LLB.
