Virginia joined the Community Law Centre as the Financial Manager in April 2001. Prior to that she worked in UWC's Finance Department for two years. She has also worked at a quantity surveyors firm and Grand Bazaars, as it was then known. She has already completed many financial management courses at Varsity College.

Virginia completed her B Com (Hons) at the University of the Western Cape in 2003. She is currently studying towards her Masters in Public Administration, with an emphasis on public finance. For the last couple of years, she has also been training the finance management of NGOs and CBOs on a part time basis.
