Aquinaldo Célio Mandlate is a Doctoral Researcher at CSPRI since February 2010. He holds a Licenciatura em Direito (Mozambique) and an LLM degree in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (University of Pretoria). He has been a practicing lawyer registered at the Mozambican Bar Association since 2006 and has worked for MGA Advogados e Consultores, Lda, one of Mozambique’s leading law firms. He has worked in several areas of law, but his major inclination has been in the fields of tax, corporate, labour, banking and investment. Presently, as a LLD Candidate at the Law Faculty of the University of the Western Cape (UWC) he is concerned with the implementation of treaties and agreements. His thesis is entitled “Assessing the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in lusophone countries in Africa.”
