Directions to the University of the Western
Cape
The Community Law Centre is on the University of the Western Cape campus, situated in the northern suburbs of the Cape peninsula and is easily accessible by car, taxi, bus or train.

Car
By car, take the N2 east from downtown. Take the turnoff for Cape Town International Airport. Before you reach the airport you will see a turning to the left which will take you in the Bellville direction. This is the M22, which intersects with Modderdam Road at the second set of traffic lights. Turn right at these lights into Modderdam Road. If you keep going straight along Modderdam Road over the bridge, you will eventually come to a set of traffic lights with the entrance to UWC on the right hand side.
Taxi
If you are travelling by taxi from the southern suburbs, you will need to get a Bellville taxi which will take you along Modderdam Road and drop you at the entrance to UWC. Or you can take a Mowbray taxi from the Bellville taxi rank, which will also take you to the Modderdam Road entrance.
Bus
By bus, your destination is also Modderdam Road. Contact the Golden Arrow Bus Services on the toll free number, 080-1212111, for bus timetables and routes.
Train
If you are travelling by train, your destination is the Unibell Station on the southern boundary of the university. Contact Cape Metrorail on +27 +21 403-9080 or tollfree on 080065 6463 for train timetables, details of which line to take and whether you need to change trains en route to Unibell.
Directions to the Community Law Centre
Once you arrive at the entrance to the University of the Western Cape, continue for approximately 2.5 km to the T-junction.
Turn left, and proceed until you see direction boards marked "Music Department".
Park in the general parking on your left in front of the blue CACE building.
On your right you will see the entrance of the Social Sciences Building (glass double doors). Turn right towards this building and proceed along the alley between these buildings towards the lawn known as Freedom Square. The Community Law Centre is the first red brick building facing the lawn, on your left hand side. (It adjoins the Psychology Department building.)
